Joint ventures can be a great way to get extra income in your affiliate marketing efforts. It's pretty simple: the more people you can get involved, the more customers you can potentially get, and therefore the more money you can make. One of the easiest ways to find potential joint venture partners is in an online forum. When you go to an online forum for internet marketing such as the Warrior Forum you'll find tons of people willing to work with you on joint ventures. A lot of the time, usually all of the time, you'll need some kind of email list in order to do a joint venture. Forums are also a good place to learn to make money online. Much of what you can be taught in internet marketing products can also be found in a forum by generous people. I've given my fair share of advice via online forums and I'm happy to do it.
There are plenty of ways to do joint ventures, here are some ideas you can use:

You can give a free report they make to your list, etc. The more informative and persuasive, the report, the more people will want to check out your website. One of the best ways to do this is to provide a blueprint that includes your website. In other words, say you have a website that provides a certain software. You could give a blueprint that shows how to make money with the software, and even give a free trial of the software.
3. Product Launch - The classic way to contribute to somebody else's products is to do a hyping up of the product to your list before it launches. Offer some kind of unique spin on the product and some supplemental thing that you will give people when they buy the product from your affiliate link.

For example, if you're trying to sell a product on how to perfect a golf swing, you might want to figure out something about the topic. One of the most effective ways of finding out things about your topic is to go to forums about the topic. Forums are places where people are already talking about what you're trying to find information on. Forums are a place where people can get free advice, which means you can get free advice also. Find out what some of the problems are in your niche, and how you can help solve them. Affiliate marketing is all about helping people solve their problems. This article is aimed at companies that are looking to get their website online, and want to know how they can brand themselves. But it also applies to the average internet marketer who is wondering how they can brand themselves online and make a name for themselves. Having a website and a brand is certainly the most important thing you can do for yourself online. There are three basic parts to begin with when you're branding yourself online:

Affiliate Marketing is a great way to earn extra money online. I wanted to talk a little bit about how to trust people online, how not to get ripped off by affiliate marketers. You may think it's ironic that I'm telling you who to trust, when I am myself an internet marketer. You can choose to trust me or not, but I'm just going to share some of my personal experiences. If you're looking for a guide or a product that can show you exactly how to earn extra money online, you're going to have to be a little choosy. The best products to make money online are those which can really help you in your make money online journey. Gimmicky things are never going to help inform you about what to do any better than just figuring it out on your own. Some of the best things I've ever purchased online have been things that didn't give me THAT much information. But they gave me information about certain things, and I picked up certain "tricks" along the way that are very helpful and very useful. I'm trying to be practical with these posts, but at the same time, I want to address the mentality of success. If you're out to try and get people to buy your products, then you're probably addressing the issue in the wrong way. It's usually a bad idea to right away try to get people to buy your products...usually it's better to get some kind of good content going beforehand. One of the best sources for learning how to generate original and awesome content, or how to outsource it handily, is a program called niche profit classroom. Niche profit classroom can definitely help you handle the unwieldy task of creating original and amazing content from scratch. The true goal is to provide good information. It's easy to trick somebody into buying something from you...it's much more difficult to provide them with something that truly has value. Keep this in mind. I've been ripped off by marketers, people who thought they were doing me a "favor" by sharing their information with me, when really all they were doing was selling me up the river. I bet they still think they did right by me! But in the process, I've learned quite a lot, and somehow managed to reach success despite how much misinformation is out there, and there is no shortage of it.
It's always on you to get people to buy your products, but you have to do it by gaining their trust first. Don't get into this business thinking things are going to be easy right away. They're not going to be easy right away! This is a truth that most people won't tell you, because they don't want you to get discouraged from buying their product. I know the truth, which is that if I talk down to someone they'll likely not find success, and if they don't have success, they'll respect me less, and frankly, I don't want that to happen. I want people to benefit from my information, and remember me. I want them to come to trust me as a source of knowledge on the topic and buy my products after they know I'm trustworthy. This is definitely a different approach that simply playing people's ignorance and giving them a crappy product. In the long run, doing things the right way is more profitable. Even though it takes more work, your customers and readers will surely thank you in the end.

When affiliate marketing, tracking your affiliate links can be extremely important. No matter where you put your links, you should always have some kind of tracking on your links in order to know where your sales are coming from. Every time you make a sale, you should know exactly where that sale come from. If you don't, you're seriously limiting yourself. Especially when you're first starting out, it can seem like way too much work to put tracking on your links. I understand, and I felt the same way. And I made a few sales without knowing where they came from, and kicked myself for it! So if you can, don't make the same mistake I did. Always put tracking on your affiliate links. Commission Junction and Clickbank, two of the most popular affiliate networks, both allow you to easily put tracking on your links.
So what's the point of tracking, and how to implement it? Tracking on your affiliate links should be done as much as possible. Let's say you're doing a campaign where you're writing several articles or doing a few different web pages which slightly different sales pitch, each of them having their own set of affiliate links. When a sale is made, the affiliate network website analytics can show you exactly where your sale came from (provided you kept track of which code was being put on which website/article post). Therefore, as you can see, keeping good records is very important in this process also. Always keep track of where all of your tracking code is being put.
Okay, so you made a sale, and you know where it came from? What can you draw from this information? Well, if you're testing several different landing pages on a website, for example, obviously you're going to use the one that converted best for you. Another way to track your conversions if you're using several different kinds of traffic is to put google analytics code on the landing page and the thank you page of your autoresponder, and you can see if you're getting conversions from article sites, paid advertising, or whatever else you're using. It can be very helpful in order to see where you're getting leads from. Once you have a good idea where you're getting leads from, you can adjust everything you're doing in order to fit to those parts of your campaign that are working, and discard those that aren't. In the end it's worth the extra effort need to be put forth in order to make sure that when you make a sale you'll know exactly where it came from, and you can track all the content you're putting out there in order to see what's working and what isn't.

Have you wondered how it's possible to make money online as an affiliate? Affiliate marketing is one of the most interesting ways to make money online. It's a virtually risk-free way to make money online, and it just takes a little bit of study in order to execute it. There are basically two elements to affiliate marketing: getting your affiliate links, and then copying these links in various places. It's actually not very complicated as a process. The complicated or difficult thing about affiliate marketing is having the discipline to stick with just one thing for a long time. In my experience, this is the most difficult aspect of the process. You'll hear stories from many affiliate marketers about how when they first started they thought having a greater number of websites, in a greater amount of areas, was somehow better. Or perhaps they got into an endless cycle of purchasing "how to make money online" products, tried some or all of it, then gave up when it didn't give instant results. If this is happening to you, don't worry, don't fret! This is all part of the process. The important thing is to soldier on beyond this point, don't let it hold you back. Sounds crazy right? If something doesn't work, try something else. Affiliate products can be like stocks...you put your time and money investing in it, hoping people buy it, and if they don't, you better stop promoting that affiliate product, before you lose a lot of money. It's important that you don't stick with a product if it's not working. Don't put your faith and confidence, time and money, into something that simply isn't working. You have to be cold-blooded and only give attention and time to those products which you think will earn money for you.

When you're doing research online, you're going to need to know how to sell to the people you're trying to get to buy your products. The profile of the average person who's going to buy from you is...what? I've heard people say you should try to imagine what your customer might look like. Where are they from? What kinds of things interest them? Why would they buy what you're selling? What event in their life is going to lead to a decision to buy something from you? What is their motivation in all of this to buy from you? It's not a idea to try to imagine for yourself what the answers to these questions might be. In addition to this, there are real and concrete ways for you to judge website analytics and see where your traffic is coming from. If you're promoting an affiliate product, it's very possible with today's technology to see exactly who's interested in that product, why they're there, and where they are going after that. What I mean by this is that just because a product is selling great for others doesn't mean it will for you, and is no indication that you will ever make a sale. That's why I have subscribed to the idea that the best thing to do online is be yourself, and try to attract people to you who think like you and will therefore like the same products you like. But the only way to do this is to test the products you're trying to promote in some kind of scenario, whether it be to your list, through articles, or however you do it. Trying to find out which product is selling for everybody, is much different than trying to find which one will work for you. But never believe a product can't sell until you've seen it not sell, and even more importantly, never believe a product can sell until you've seen it sell!
The most effective way to waste time online is to keep going with a product that isn't selling. Sounds crazy, but people do it. I did it too. It's simple really...we grew up, many of us, under the illusion that we should play nice, give everybody a turn, etc. Isn't it true that many of us in team situations would frequently have to give everybody a chance to speak? Give everybody a chance to play first? It's a part of our thinking as workers and consumers that gives us the impression that everything deserves the same chance, and the same attention. It doesn't. While this might be a perfectly acceptable and decent way of conducting yourself in those situations, the same rules don't apply to business at all. In business what matters is if it works, and if it doesn't, sorry, but we've got to let you go. Never let some kind of misguided altruism lead you to promoting products that don't sell! After all, as I said earlier, it might sell wonderfully for somebody else, and just doesn't work for you. Because you see, we all have a certain way of writing about and presenting products, and sometimes that way just won't work for the product you're selling. So always test, and always track your links, and never get lost in the fray.

Internet Make Money Online - Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 24 - Getting E-mail Leads and Giving Away Stuff
I'm going to talk a little bit about generating leads. The classic way to generate leads is through an autoresponder on your website. You can try websites such as: Aweber, GetResponse, or AutomateYourList. If you're going to install an auto responder on your website, all you have to do is create it on the website of whatever service you're using and then get the code from there and install that code in the normal HTML of your website code, wherever you want the auto responder to be. After that you just hook up the messages so that the person receives whatever free gift you're planning on giving them. As for the free gift, there are several ways you could go about this, for example:
1. Part of the Product - Let's say you're selling a product and you can get permission from the product owner to give away the first 10 pages (let's say it's a 150 page ebook with videos) this is extremely easy to do. The product is already there...just give them 10 pages of it. All the while you can put your affiliate links throughout in order to urge them to buy the book. This can be enough of a tempting offer (if the first few pages are good) along with perhaps a video about the product, this might be enough to convince them to buy it.
2. A "miniature version" of the product - For example, if you're selling a product which talks about how to train a dog, you could give away an ebook that you make entitled something like "10 ways to protect your dog from fleas" and this could be enough to get people on your list, once they're on your list, you can sell to them. It's pretty straightforward.
3. Video series - While you're at it, since ebooks are getting pretty played out (LOL!) you could make a video series to entice people even more. I personally prefer reading over videos, so this wouldn't really tempt me, but there are people out there who would probably prefer a video over having to read something.
In conclusion, as long as you have a website with an auto responder setup (from any of the sites mentioned previously, and there are a bunch more) and a free gift, the only missing ingredient is traffic which you should have no problem generating provided you write articles, do PPC ads, or any of the myriad methods out there. Getting leads this way is not the hardest thing in the world, the trick is just learning how to write enticing articles and doing it consistently. After that, things will start to fall into place.

How to Make Easy Money Fast - Affiliate Marketing Lessons Pt. 23 - First Impressions are Everything!
"Easy Money", so called, is made by knowing the right things, or the right people. Possibly both! So now that you've met me, you're troubles are over right? ;) This is the simple truth: affiliate marketing is as simple as having the right product, and showing it to the right people, with the proper introduction. Is the introduction important, you ask? But of course...the entire idea behind having some kind of writing that leads to the affiliate product is that you have to create text that is going to sell. That's what sales copy is...it's writing that makes somebody want to buy a product. If you think there's a certain way to do it, some way that's better than another, you might be disappointed. There are as many approaches to this as anything else in Internet Marketing. That is, pretty much endless approaches...let me tell you about a few things that I learned when I was first starting with Internet Marketing.
Fear, guilt, anger, greed, lust...these are emotions which, when triggered in somebody, are hard to ignore. They can also be connected a very interesting phenomenon known as curiosity. If you can get somebody to become curious then it's likely that you can get them to click the link, and hopefully check out the product. That's why when you type in a certain product into google, let's say for example an Internet Marketing product or an Internet Marketing personality, you will see all kinds of things that are trying to get your attention. For example: "30% off" X, is X a scam?, X ripped me off, here's why....frequently these people are actually selling the product or person they're dissing! They just said those things in order to get your attention and get you to click on their link. Pretty amazing isn't it? But it actually does work. Of course it does, because it make people curious. If they are curious they will surely check out what you are offering, won't they? They will indeed.
If you have ever wondered if Internet Marketing could be psychological, here's your answer, it is, of course. Like everything in Business, and indeed, everything in marketing especially, Internet Marketing is highly psychological. You do not do yourself any favors by not knowing how people will react to your efforts. If you know how they will react, then you know what works and what doesn't. In conclusion, I would advise everyone to take a different approach every time they write copy. You can purchase great copywriting courses online that will help you do this. As a summary, pick several approaches you would like to "try out" and make some pages of them. Make sure you have some way of telling which is which so that if somebody buys, opts in, or some other kind of conversion, you will know on which page it happened and you will be able to see which approach worked for which product. Although this might seem a little detailed and "involved" it is extremely useful. All Businesses do it...and as an Internet Business you will have to also. Or I should say, you get to! It's fun! Testing things and seeing how they work is all a part of the exploration of your attempt to make money online. Don't be afraid!

Best Way to Make Money Online - Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 22 - Keeping Hope Alive
One of the best ways to make money online is through the power of affiliate marketing. I've talked a lot in previous lessons about how to make your affiliate marketing successful, so I wanted to spend a little time talking about mistakes that people sometimes make and how to avoid them. For this I would like to explain about something called a "hope" factor which gets a lot people going, and can shut a lot of people down. When you invest in anything online, whether it be in the form of money or time, you are putting yourself in a position of hoping that this investment will pay off. It's a leap of faith...and for many people, including impatient Americans (of which I am myself one!), faith and patience do not come easily.
It just so happens that investing in a certain product or a certain method online can be the most profitable and smart thing for you to do, but likewise, it can start a chain reaction of doubt in you also that will inevitably lead to depression, regret, frustration, and oftentimes even more unpleasant things. Rather than letting yourself fall victim to the presence of doubt, consider each attempt you make another brick in the house that will eventually be built around you. I'm getting rather abstract right now, but not without good reason....
If you want to do something like have a business online, especially if this is something you've never tried, indeed, especially if you're not used to doing things on your own without somebody telling you exactly what to do, this is hard. No need to be embarrassed, it's just a simple fact, a reality, that you are now having to deal with when it comes to your work flow. How do you get the most out of your time as possible, and, how do not run out on the "hope" meter and not get jaded and fall into the idea that what you're doing is impossible may never happen. One way to do this is to simply take a break after one of these downfalls and take some time to reevaluate your whole approach. Then come back with a fresh sense of what you're doing and go into it wholeheartedly. Easier said than done, I know....

Make Money Online Work - Affiliate Marketing Lessons Pt. 21 - Making Websites for Resale
There is a lot of talk about make money online work out there. What's the best kind? My personal opinion is that having your own online business is the best way to go. Becoming a master of affiliate marketing or other kinds of online profits is a very interesting and lucrative business. This is by no means the only way to go when it comes to make money online work, but it's not a bad place to start. There is also the option of doing some kind of freelance work. If you have a particular skill such as web design or technical writing, this could be something you could hire yourself out to do. This is not a bad route to go, however, my advice to people who can do this kind of work is to learn how to use it to make even more money, by designing affiliate websites or some other kind of website. If you have a basic understanding of the principles of making money online, you can use this to leverage your skills and make even more money. Heck, you can even sell your money making websites after they're done.
Getting back to how you might want to combine all of these talents in order to make fantastic websites...selling a website is fairly simple. But first you have to create a website that can make money. If you have never tried to do this, consider a few simple ways you can "monetize" your site. Monetization is simply a word that means making something profitable. As it applies to websites, it means taking a website that people already want to read and adding some things in order to make profitable. It can be pretty simple. Here are a few ideas:
1. Google Adsense - Adsense is a simple code you add to your website that will generate ads and give you money every time somebody clicks. You don't have to do anything except add the code to your website, the rest is done for you through your adsense account. While this will really only amount to a few hundred clicks a month at most, you can do more than one website or many different pages of content with adsense added to it and make more money.
2. Affiliate Products - Another way to monetize your content is to do product reviews or simply calls to action to buy a certain product. No matter what your niche is, you can surely find some kind of affiliate product in that niche. Best Ways to Make Money - Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 20 - Choosing an Affiliate Network
Online affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money, for many reasons. The sheer variety of products out there is one thing, the possibilities of how you could make money with it are amazing. The fundamental principal behind affiliate marketing is promoting somebody else's product and then getting a commission when somebody buys from your affiliate link. The commission varies, and can be anywhere from 15% to 75%. The reason it can be so high is, there is little reason for somebody with a product to roundly reject even 25% of the product price because the person promoting the product is doing free advertising for them. They're selling products that they wouldn't otherwise sell...however, the most common commission percentage is closer to 50%. In any case, there are many different affiliate networks also. Two of the most common are clickbank and commission junction. The basic difference between them is that clickbank is open to everyone, commission junction is not. In order to promote products for commission junction you have to apply to it, and then once you apply you have to individually apply for different companies in order to promote their specific products. This might seem like a lot of work, but it's well worth it when you look at the products you'll be promoting, which are generally of much higher quality than clickbank products. That said, clickbank products can be extremely high quality it's just that clickbank very rarely does big commercial brand name products or physical products, and commission junction does both.
To say that you can make more on clickbank versus commission junction, or vice versa, or that any particular affiliate network will make you more money than another, isn't quite true. While it is true that certain affiliate networks are more reliable and well known, every affiliate network is going to require that you do a lot of work on your own in order to make it work. That means the power is in your hands, and what you put in is what you get out of it, like many other things in life! If you want to know how to truly succeed as an affiliate, then you need to know the overall rules of affiliate marketing. The most important of which is, never promote a product that isn't selling. And, always track what you're doing so you can see where your product is selling the best, and where it's simply not selling. If you do both of these things, you can be successful. But if you pick the wrong product, you can promote until you're blue in the face, and all you will get in return is a big pile of frustration. So always find some way to test your products and get a feel for which ones sell and which ones don't, before you go ahead and promote the living daylights out of any one thing. And, just so we're clear, you must put tracking code on individual links in order to know where your sales are coming from, so you're not left in the dark when you finally do make a sale.

Keyword research and keyword implementation is as complicated or as simple as you're willing to make it. I say that a lot, and I think it's really true. The more you go into any topic, things get more complicated, you learn more, and you can handle the complexity. To an outsider, what you say and the way you think on a topic after studying it for years can be extremely confusing, and overwhelming. But you it will seem pretty standard. That's because you have learned a lot on the topic, and they haven't. You know these things in and out, and they do not. So keep in mind that learning Internet marketing can be extremely deep, and don't be surprised if it overwhelms you. Over the course of time, it will begin to make more sense and you will join the ranks of business people who have whole-heartedly embraced the internet as a huge money-making device.
In any case, I'm trying to talk to you about keyword research. Keyword research is as simple as finding words that can target specific groups of people who can purchase your product and make you money. I'm going to share some simple things that might help you in your keyword marketing. First of all, you've probably heard of the External Google Keyword tool. It can help you greatly when it comes to google's searches and getting organic search content from google. There are other search engines like MSN than have their own keyword tools and you can use those also. Some keyword tools combine different search engines into one keyword tool. Generally when you cater your keywords to a certain search engine you can expect to get a lot more organic traffic from that particular search engine. Therefore, it makes sense to try to draw keywords from several different search engines in order to get the most organic search content as possible. Mixing and matching and using a variety of keywords will help fill out your content and make it appealing to different search engines.
Depending on what you are using to develop your content, whether it be a third-party service like hubpages or squidoo, or if you have your own website, you should be able to track if you are getting organic search content and where it's coming from. If you don't know how to do this with a website, check out the online software Google Analytics which is free to use. There are many analytics systems but all of them have basically the same function. They are supposed to help you see exactly where your visitors are coming from, and where they are going after they visit your website. This information is extremely valuable because it can tell you how to better serve your readers, how to promote your website better, and how you're doing over all when it comes to traffic.

The idea of the so-called Internet guru has become very popular as of late. If you just follow the Internet Guru, he will lead you to riches…true or untrue? Well, it’s true. Money Making Opportunities – Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 17 – Everything is Timing
You’ve probably heard that timing is everything. Everything is also…timing! How do you make sure you take advantage of the specific timing that is involved with Internet marketing and making the most of it? There are tons of ways to take advantage of timing. Not to detract from the point, but there is a difference between a long-term investment and a short-term one. There is a limit to what these “trends” can do. It’s not a bad idea, like stocks, to have some long-term investments and then try your hand at some of the short-term “fads” that can also be profitable. Anyway, the way I would go about this is pretty simple. You can check out the latest trends on google trends which will show you what the super-hot searches are for the month, for the year, whatever. If you can figure out how to take one of these hot trends and attach it to a product that sells like crazy, then you have a pretty good chance of making a buck.
And believe it or not, these trends, while hot during the week, can last a year or longer…you’ll continue getting clicks. So it’s not a bad idea to do this. All you have to do is start a simple blog or some kind of blog post and write a few articles pointing to it. This will be enough to get people to your blog and after that if they’re interested they will surely click on your affiliate links and may generate sales.
If you are stuck on what I mean by this, and can’t understand how to take advantage of trend, think about it this way…let me give you an example. Let’s say Charlie Sheen’s dog is the highest search in Google trends and you want to take advantage of that. Simple. Just grab a dog-training or make-your-own dogfood affiliate product from clickbank and voila, you make some sales… but pay attention…this is an important point, I’m not finished.
You should also think about which product. Just because you’re getting tons of click with some fad doesn’t mean it’s going to sell! So the rules of affiliate product don’t go out the window. Still try to find an awesome product that can convert. My favorite way of testing products is actually testing products. There are a lot of ways affiliates have of finding great products before they even start promoting them which isn’t a bad idea, but even better is having a list of people in your niche and trying out products on them. Even if it’s a twitter list…doesn’t have to be an email list.

The reason for this is that I was working on visitors; I was working on getting organic search results, things that are very concrete, real goals, but that have nothing to do with money. You too can do this, and I’m going to show you a few goals that you can have, that have nothing to do with money…

3. Organic Search Results
4. “Likes” or other sharing results
5. …and others
No matter if you’re using a social media content site like HubPages or Squidoo, or if you have your own website, you should always be able to track the visitors or organic/paid/direct traffic you’re getting. It’s important for one thing, and terribly interesting for another thing. If you know that 99% of your traffic is coming from paid traffic, even though you’re doing tons of article marketing, this could be a very bad thing. Something about your article marketing just isn’t cutting it. If, however, you’re getting a healthy amount of organic search traffic then you’re probably doing something right. Try to set some simple goals like this for yourself if you can, and see if you don’t start to get motivation to work harder. When you get addicted to this kind of goal-setting, eventually sales will roll in and you will say to yourself, whew, how did that happen?!

There are a lot of people who go online and get into affiliate marketing or Internet marketing and would like to learn how to earn money quick. If you’re wondering how to earn money quick, affiliate marketing might be the perfect thing for you. Affiliate marketing has a lot of benefits. There are a lot of benefits of affiliate marketing over creating a product. The first thing that’s great about affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to do any customer service. That means that once the product is sold, your work is done. Aside from getting comments on your blog or questions from your email subscribers, there is absolutely nothing else to do. No phone calls, customer complaints, refunds, or anything else. Combine this with clickbank and you have what could be a perfect business model. Rather than planning and plotting the perfect website (which could take forever and never really turn out) it’s better to just do. And it’s much better to do than it is to buy things too, of course. Make Money Today – Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 13 – Getting Visitors to Buy
Learning about copywriting, that is, the art of getting people to buy things with writing is kind of a drag. However, it can be a big part of how you can make money today. You have to think about how to manipulate people’s emotions, which can be somewhat hard on the conscience. However, if you think about getting people to buy something as getting them to want to be part of a good thing, it can be easier to justify it. The main difference between ad copy and regular writing is that ad copy is like a science. The people that write ad copy are crazy, mad scientists that study the psychology of word usage and exactly what creates the impulse to buy. Creating ad copy is nothing short of a science, and an art. But you don’t have to be a genius to get your visitors to buy.
When you get into the science and art of affiliate marketing, you’re talking about things that are much more complex than a simple pyramid scheme that is not going to amount to anything! The final thing I have to say about getting visitors to buy is this: wanting to buy, and needing to buy are two different things. I try to stress this a lot. You have to get people to feel as though they need to buy what you’re selling. They have to blow right past the want factor and go straight to need. And you have to be there to catch them with a product that gives them everything they desperately need. It’s much more important to channel the energy of a need rather than a want because a need is much harder to extinguish. This should be obvious, but let me give an example just in case it’s not. Perhaps you want an ice cream sandwich…fine. Eat your ice cream sandwich! But say you don’t have one…okay. That might depress you. But now imagine you don’t have a house to live in, a couch to sit on? Don’t you think that would take precedence over an ice cream sandwich? I would hope you would say “yes”…either way, you’re not getting an ice cream sandwich without money. So in that case, the need for money outweighs the want of an ice cream sandwich. Pretty simple, isn’t it?
How do you create “need” in a visitor… or better yet, how do you find people who have needs and find a way to fulfill them in their needs? This could be an even greater way.

Money Making Websites – Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 12 – Getting Traffic to Your Website
You’ve probably heard that traffic to your money making websites is important. Umm…duh? Anyone? Without visitors, your website is about as useful as Stanley Kubrick without eyes! No wait, he would probably still make awesome movies…somehow. Anyway, if you have a website in a specific niche, say, gardening. Let’s just pretend you’re into the gardening niche. It’s going to be easy for you to see that gardening is going to be linked to different things…types of soil, seeds, care and maintenance of the garden…the garden has to have these things. And everybody knows that the garden has to have these things. So how do you, the website owner, get people to come to your website? Give them the answers to their questions. How do you know what their questions are? You find out. How do you find out?? By searching around online, going to forums, going to various places on the web, taking an honest look at what people’s needs are, and how you can meet them. What are their questions, and how can you answer them? The more honestly you look at their needs and questions, and how to solve their problems, the quicker you will be able to solve them. The quicker you solve them, the more money you will make online. Simply put, affiliate marketing is the art of solving people’s problems without creating a product. Maybe you will create some kind of small product…something to start with. But it’s also going to be part of your business plan to sell them some kind of smaller products also. If you can do this well, you have it made in this business. If you can’t, you will soon find out that there is no replacement. There is simply no substitute for cold, hard, truth.
The cold hard truth is not supposed to be painful. But it frequently is. So it’s better to try to “break the news” to people gently. What I mean by this is, the sooner you get them to realize that they are much closer to solving their problem than they think, and that you can help them, the sooner they will trust and want to listen to you. The downside is, you have to actually deliver on these promises, which can be difficult! No…not easy! Some people suck at doing research. I personally like it, so I am good at it. If you don’t like to do research, then you probably want to outsource it somehow. Getting information for people can be tough. But it’s very important.
Now that you have the information, the next step is getting keywords. Finding what people want, then giving them keywords, the whole process is like…leading them to water. You have to do it carefully. Getting the right keywords which people are searching for, and then providing them with high-quality information as well as affiliate product recommendations. This is what does, in fact, lead to sales.

Make Cash Online – Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 11 – Giving up the tendency to wander
One thing you’ll notice if you read about affiliate marketers is, none of them, and I mean none of them, makes cash online without administering the proper amount of work. What I mean by that is, how can you possibly expect to make cash online without putting in the hours it takes to get there? Not only that, but like a kid in a candy store, a lot of us when we first start out wander desperately from product to product looking for some “magic” solution that will give us the ability to make cash online. The only real and reliable way to make cash online is to give yourself wholeheartedly to the process and never give up. When I first started I was bouncing around from one product to the next, not sure what I was doing. Trying a zillion different things and failing every single time. Those who try to make cash online this way will almost certainly be disappointed. Because in reality, the ability to make cash online is a process. It’s okay to wander, to bounce from one thing to the other, but keep in mind that only when you settle down and try something consistently for a time will you ever really be successful. The advantage of letting yourself bounce from one thing to the other, if you have the luxury of doing this, is that you will learn a whole lot in a lot of different areas…which is not a bad thing. The dark side of this can be if you rely too much on the process of buying new affiliate marketing products to inform you instead of doing actual work. The whole process of affiliate marketing can become automatic, simple, easy, like nothing. And when you actually look at it, it is simple. Compared to other things in life, very simple. But that doesn’t mean that it’s actual simple to do.
Jimi Hendrix once said, that the blues are easy to play, and difficult to feel. Affiliate marketing is easy to do…it’s easy to throw up an affiliate link with some articles pointing to it. It’s not easy to do it well. It’s not easy to do it in such a way that really makes people want to buy something from you. This is an entire different animal. In the business of affiliate marketing, I like to think of hope as the fuel. Hope is the fuel that keeps you going. Without hope, there is very little to be done. Mechanically pushing buttons can sometimes lead to success, but more often than not, if you’re not passionate about something, it will lead only to frustration and failure. The real results when you try to make cash online always come from persistent effort mixed with “hope fuel”…so how exactly does one get hope fuel? The only way to get hope fuel is to “win”. To get results. To get affiliate sales. The only way you can do this is to push yourself to get better, and better.

Affiliate Marketing has been called the world’s best part-time job. By whom, you ask? Well me, for one. In addition to me, many other people have found affiliate marketing to be the best way to make extra money online. It’s actually one of the coolest and most clean and easy ways to make money, because it requires very little actual work. The most effective way to make extra money online with affiliate marketing is to know the market you are selling to, and make sure you target specifically to them. The only real way to target a specific audience is to know that audience. Doing market research can help with this. Knowing specific details about what your audience expects and wants from you and from the products you refer is a very important part of learning to how to make extra money online. It’s astounding actually, when you look at the numbers. First of all, of how many people are really making it as an affiliate, compared with how many people try and fail. If you look at it one way, it can be discouraging. On the other hand, it can be extremely encouraging for those of us who know the secret to success. And just what is the secret to success? Why persistence and consistence, of course.
If you target specific affiliate niche markets, there is money to be made, no matter how many people tell you there isn’t. No matter how many people try to discourage you, and tell you it’s impossible, it is very possible. The only way to know that it’s actually possible, for an individual, is to see results. You don’t have to be particularly good at anything to make extra money online…you just need to have a certain kind of drive and persistence. You have to never give up! If you give up, or you only go part of the way, you are screwed, that’s it. The only way to really do it is to go all the way. And never quit. Working every day, several hours a day is what is required. To be honest, there is a certain amount of trust involved. It’s silly, in fact, but most people who succeed online rummaged through dozens and dozens of affiliate “training” products looking for something that would “really work.” The problem is, very rarely do people actually follow through with what the product tells them! They frequently go only half way, if that. Very rarely do people follow to a “t” everything they are told. Why is this? It’s hard. It’s very, very hard. It’s not actually hard to make money online. It’s hard to believe you can make money online. Kinda crazy isn’t it?
The way it worked for me was, I spent lots of time just dabbling. I did a little of this, and a little of that, just to sort of test the waters and see what works. For me, this lead to sales…eventually. Meanwhile, lots of time and money were spent. However, doing things this way eventually led to a great deal of success. Working on something for a long time eventually leads to progress. You may not be a born pianist, but if you like to play, and you work at it, you will get better. That’s just how it works. The only way you could not get better is if you psych yourself out to the point where you can’t even continue and so of course you can’t get better. Where does the real money come from? The combination of experience and time; the actualization of techniques that are sometimes years in the making.

Free Money Making Online - Affiliate Marketing Lessons pt. 7 - Getting Free Organic Traffic
Depending on what method you're using for free money making online, there are different ways to get great organic traffic. They basically all fall in some similar categories however. For one thing, in order always have the best organic traffic, you're going to need to keep up-to-date material. You have to update your material regularly. You also need to make sure all your links are the newest they can be. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on who you are, the internet is very dependent on trends. If you flow with the trends, you'll be in good shape, if you decide to fight against them, you'll probably drown. That's the reality of how fast the pace of internet marketing can be. People do love trends, but trends can also be extremely lucrative.
You've probably heard that SEO is very important for organic search traffic. Just what is SEO? Put simply, it's a way of getting more organic search traffic! SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. If you are not new to internet marketing, please bear with me while I explain this. Basically there are trends in the search engines, which point to specific keyword searches that people, on average, do very regularly. This means that if you include these phrases in your writing, you have a much better chance of getting your content to show up in search engines than you would if you simply guessed what kinds of things people were searching for. If you have any doubts about this, just try getting organic search traffic without utilizing any keywords at all, and see how it goes. It's kinda hard....
One of the interesting exceptions to this rule however, is a blog which has a "following" even though the SEO isn't great. This means that you have a blog that a certain group of people come back and read regularly and that's where your main readership is. Now...having great organic search traffic will surely HELP you get an even BIGGER following...but the point is, you don't want to focus on either. A balance would be nice...the only way to REALLY get a following is to actually have content that is interesting. Boring content that is geared ONLY towards SEO is surely not worthy of continuous readership. And if you don't try to reach out to search engines a little bit you might have trouble getting more followers...in the beginning at least.
Once you have a set of topics that are very focused to write about, and a great blog about something you know is going to get lots of people's interest, and then you have decent SEO in addition to this, you are on a great track. Rather than getting truly overwhelmed by the details of all this...just remember that consistent content is the most important thing you can do.

Making free money online isn't actually as hard as you might think! Most people believe it's impossible...and so they never really try very hard. I can attest to the fact that you can make hundreds of dollars for free using things like Squidoo and promoting affiliate products. You can even get free images and information to put on your Squidoo pages you literally won't have to pay money for anything. You collect the dough! One of the best courses I've ever found on using Squidoo to make money is this course: click here! It's fantastic, and that's how I first got introduced to making money on Squidoo successfully. Squidoo is just one way of making free money online. There are dozens...things like craigslist, forums, ezinearticles or other article sites, hubpages, twitter, or facebook. There are literally tons of free methods of making free money online so there are no excuses if you don't have money to try to get lots of affiliate cash. It's just a matter of having the right knowledge and even more importantly, having a regular plan and sticking to it. This can be quite a challenge. But consistent effort is really the only way...it might be months before you make your first sale, but once you do and know it's possible, you'll never turn back.
To get specific about techniques, just think about making free money online the same way you think about every other kind of niche marketing. You're going to need a killer product, great keywords, an understanding of your niche, and then a work schedule, and execution of that work schedule. If you have all these things, you simply can't fail. If you are missing any one of these components, you are doomed to fail. If you're trying to make money online for the first time, it's entirely possible that you will fall victim to one of the classic rookie mistakes, like not working on just one thing very long before moving on. Only doing a few things in a niche and then going to the next niche. Making seven different websites that are mediocre instead of just one really good one. These are all traps that first-timers find themselves doing quite often. I know because I was there once too! The best way to overcome this is just from experience. You simply must do a lot online before you can get over these bad habits and find out what's really profitable and what isn't. It's a process...it takes time.
